i am pursuing B.Sc(H) chemistry from st. stephens.i want to do BDS.what is the eligibility criterion?i did not have biology in 11th and 12th instead i had bio technology.

no you cant do bds .you need biologyi in 12 standard

Having biology,chemistry and physics in 12th level
you are not eligible for BDS as per the given qualification but
you got a wonderful chance from this year
IGNOU have a provision to take a exam on demand through which you can qualify biology at 12th level after that you are 100% eligible for BDS in any Unoversity. the marks of the IGNOU exam is accepted by all universities in india

my freind as my brother is doing the mbbs i have answer,diploma in detetics and health sceince courses are available after having subject of biotechnology in 11th and 12th,cretreia 12th passed and min 60% marks.

If you studied science and math-Biology grade in 11th and 12th means you are eligible to do BDS.now you have Biotechnology(B.sc or M.sc).you don't have an eligible criteria to do BDS.

yes you can give the entrance for B.DS....

you just need to fill the application form & prepare for exam & refer the physics, chemistry & biology for preparation.

As far as i am concerned,for BDS,Biology is a must along with physics and chemistry.

Percentage required in 12th Boards to get into BDS courses is 60% marks in overall subjects.

and in PCB combination minimum 60% marks. then only you will be eligiable to do BDS courses .

Sorry ..you will not be able to persue BDA...sice you dont have biology in 12th board...because it is one of the eligiblity criteria which you have to fulfill before sitting in medical examination...

no dear without biology you can not do any of the medical courses so also not the BDS better to do your own subjects ok dear

BDS can never be done without having Biology in 12th standard. Minm. qualification for admission in BDS is 12 pass out with aggregate 60% in PCB, so its quit clear that Bio is necessary. As you told that you are pursuing BSc chem honours so you cannot opt for imorovment examination.
If any 12th passout student is willing to do BDS and not having bio in 12 than he/she can opt for Bio as additional subject exam in the suceeding year. Many boards have provision to appear for additional subject.

Sorry.., you can't do BDS if you don't have biology in 12th standard
you can do B.Sc in Biotechnology.

For doing BDS you need to have PCB(Physics,Chemistry,Biology) at 10+2 level.
So you are not elligible.

If you have not taken biology in the 12th class then you are not eligible
for BDS course because for BDS courses the biology subject is very
necessary. So i advise you to go into another courses.

Can i pursue Forensic Science after class 12th even if i did not have Biology as a subject in class 12th? Is there a way i can get a diploma in Biology, will it b of any help?

I think it is not at all possible. 12th Biology, Physics, Chemistry is mandatory.

I have passed my 12th isc exams with 54% marks in pcm .Can i do 12th with pcb from ignou ,is it accepted throughout india if yes so plz do let me know i want to do BDS.

Sorry dear, you can't.

Beacuse the eligibilty criteria for BDS is that one should must complete his/her 10+2 with PCB subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

From recognized board with atleast 60% marks for general category and 55% for SCs/STs.

I am HSC passed student of 2011-12. I secured 81.8% marks in boards and 160 marks in cet pcm group.In ssc i secured 90%.
Basically my parents and mine dream was to be a doctor, however in adolescents age i.e. in 10th i went under influence of friends parents who wanted their child to be in IIT along with my company.And due to this reason i made mistake of choosing vocational subject electronics in place of biology.And I was unable to appear for PCB cet as i had no biology in hsc.


But few days back i came to know about isolated subject scheme of maharashtra state board in which a hsc passed student can give hsc exam with the only subject which was previously not given by her in her passed exam.
so i have a chance to give only biology in march2013 hsc exam.so my question is whether i would be eligible to appear for medical entrance in 2013

Does ignou offer cbse course in doing 12th in pcb?
