The Board of Secondary Education that was formed in 1951, was given the new name as West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, shortly called as WBBSE in the year 1964 under the Board of Secondary Education Act of the state of West Bengal. The main roles of WBBSE are to develop secondary education of the State; conduct School Final Examination; conduct Camp Offices in districts for distribution of examination related papers; Publish results of Secondary Examination in the website; operate help-lines during examination; etc.
Job Profile:
Applications are called for from suitable Indian citizens for Group – D position in the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
No. of posts – 55
P ay Scale – PB-1 (5,400-18,600 + GP-1,800)
Eligibility:
Age Criteria: Minimum age limit is 18 yrs and Maximum age limit is 37 yrs. The age criteria is relaxable as per rules
Educational Qualification: Pass in VIII standard from a recognized institution. The candidate must have good physique. Experience in similar type of work is desirable. Candidates must be able to read, write and speak in Bengali.
