Exam Pattern of the Space Technology Entrance Exam

Graduate program

This paper shall have a total of 150 MCQ’s. The pattern of questions and marks distribution in this paper is given below.

• Physics – 40 questions shall be asked in this part.
• Chemistry – 40 questions shall be asked in this part.
• English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning – 15 questions shall be asked in the former part and 10 questions shall be asked in the latter part.
• Mathematics - 45 questions shall be asked in this part.

Correct answers shall be given the whole 3 marks and for incorrect responses negative marking will be given (-1 mark).

Doctoral program

This examination shall have a time period of 2 hours.  The paper shall have three classifications. The details are:

• Section A – Basic Mathematics and Basic Physics
• Section B – Advanced Physics
• Section C – Electronics

Each of these parts shall carry 15 questions of the objective nature. A minimum thirty questions shall have to be answered by students. Correct answers shall get 3 marks and minus one mark for erroneous responses.
