Structure of Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology Ph.D in Information Technology Entrance Exam

The entrance examination will be a written exam. The structure includes mainly objective type questions. Each question will be provided with different options where in the candidates can easily mark their choice. The questions will be mainly from the core subject area where in the candidates are specialized in. If getting qualified in the written exam, the candidates should present their views in the form of Power point presentation. The final stage involves the personal interview which the candidates need to attend. The marks weight age will be in the ration of 20: 30:50. The institute reserves the right to take final decision on the candidates which will be mainly based on their performance in all the stages.

Eligibility Criteria

The basic educational qualification required for applying for this exam is a Post graduation degree. The candidates who have done Masters in engineering or Technology can apply. The candidates who possess Masters Degree in science are eligible to apply. The percentage of marks needed for the PhD program is an aggregate of 70%. Those candidates who have participated in any of the national level fellowship programs are exempted from attending the entrance examinations for getting admitted to the PhD program.

It is important for the candidates should obtain full information regarding the application procedure before applying. The candidates can log in to the official website of the university www.nsit.ac.in for complete details. The candidates should take a Demand Draft of Rs 1000 /-which should be payable at Andhra Bank, NSIT Branch, Dwarka, New Delhi – 110078. The DD should be drawn in favour of The Director, NSIT, New Delhi 110078. The candidates should make sure that the completed application forms along with other relevant documents should reach the concerned address before the date specified. The application forms should be sent to the Assistant Registrar. The candidates should make sure that they complete the applications in all respects otherwise there will be chances of rejection.

How to fill the Form?

It is important for the candidates to be careful while filling application forms. The candidates before starting to fill the application forms should go through the application brochure. The brochure will give the candidates accurate information’s regarding how to fill the forms. The candidates should check that the information that they have entered is correct in all respects.  The possibility of rejecting the application forms will occur if the candidates fail to fill any important columns. While putting the signature in the application form, it should be put in a correct manner within the space provided. The candidates should also paste a recent passport size photographs in the application forms.
