The course of bachelor in Pharmacy demands study of a lot of subjects that are off beat and out of pharmaceutical studies but are required in order to study the other aspects and other science that are associated with Pharmacy. That is why subjects like Pharmaceutics II are studied.

Paper Description:

The paper includes study of various kinds of mechanical as well as chemical engineering stuffs in combination with pharmaceutical sciences. The subject includes detailed study of various kinds of mechanical terms such as pressure eddy, etc. The subject is a detailed study of chemical operations and mechanical operations. In combination of the operations, few important processes and their principles are also studied in the subject.

Questions that are asked frequently:

Few questions that can be very easily seen in the paper are Reynolds’s number; different kinds of valves, Bernoulli’s equation and its significance etc. few important topics from which questions are framed almost every year are wet and dry bulb temperature, dew point, melting point, de humidification and dehumidifier etc.

Paper pattern:

The question paper of PTU-B.Pharmacy 3rd Semester-Pharmaceutics-II (Unit operations-I including Engg. Drawing) has all together 3 sections in it. The first section is a compulsory section and has 15 questions. All the questions are short answer type and require to be answered in one or two lines. Every question in this section is of 2 marks each. So a total of 30 marks are allotted to this section. Section B has 5 questions of 5 marks each. Students are asked to answer any 4 they wish to answer. The last section has 4 long questions and only 3 are to be answered by the candidates.

Total Marks and time allotted:

Time allotted to the question paper is 3 hours and the total mark of the paper is 80.
