The Indian Oil Academic Scholarship
The Indian Oil Corporation Limited has started a program that awards meritorious students in the country with scholarships. This scholarship is provided beneath the Indian Oil Educational Scholarships Scheme. Commencing from 2010-11, Indian Oil has enhanced the total number of scholarships from 450 to 2600.
The scheme of the scholarship takes in students who are studying their first year for the following courses:
- 10+1
- ITI
- Engineering
- MBA
- MBBS
The scheme presents particular encouragement to aspirants who are bodily challenged and girls from Jammu & Kashmir as well as Northeast States of India.
Scholarship Eligibility
- Students who are studying in the streams mentioned above in educational institutions in a recognized board are eligible to apply.
- Students who are doing their postgraduation in Business Management or Administration can apply.
- In the case of applicants who are doing their graduation, the average of the total percentage of scored shall be considered as the eligibility marks.
- The gross income of the students family must not be above Rs.1, 00,000/-. But, preference will be provided to those students whose family does not earn more than Rs.60, 000/- a year.
- The students must not be below 15 years and not above 30 years when they apply.
Value and Duration of Scholarship
- Students of the 10 + / ITI courses have around 1321 scholarships. They will be given Rs. 1000 a month for 2 Years.
- Students of the Engineering course will have 296 scholarships available. They will be provided with Rs. 3000 a month for 4 Years.
- Aspirants who are doing their MBBS course will have 183 scholarships. Those who get selected will get Rs.3000 each month for 4 Years.
- Aspirants who are doing their MBA will have 98. Students who get selected will receive Rs. 3000 for 2 Years.

The application for the scholarship is downloadable from the official website of the IOCL. The filled in form is then to be sent to the address of the IOCL (given below). Students can also submit their application online.
