UPSC Civil Services Agriculture Prelims Papers
The Union Public Services Commission conducts the Civil Services Examination every year for recruitment if candidates in services like the IAS, IPS and IFS etc. The exam is held in two stages. The first stage is a preliminary exam. Candidates who crack the prelims are eligible to sit for the main examination. An interview follows the main examination. Among the subjects which the students can select for the exam, one subject is Agriculture. The pattern of the examination is given below.
Paper Pattern
The duration of the preliminary exam is two hours and the maximum marks are 300. There are 120 questions in the paper an each carries equal marks. The questions are all objective types. Each question is followed by four options, of which only one is correct. Candidate should the mark the answer which they consider is correct. Only one answer should be marked in the separate answer sheet provided. Multiple answers are treated as wrong answer. There is also negative marking in the paper. For each wrong answer one third of the marks of that question will be deducted as penalty. As mentioned above multiple answers will also attract negative marking. If a question is left unanswered, no penalty will be levied.
