North Central Railway (NCR) was started in April 2003. The NCR network extends over a wide region of North Central India, enveloping the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan. NCR has it’s headquarter at Allahabad. It includes three divisions. It has workshops at Sithouli (Gwalior) and Jhansi; and Electric Loco Shed where damaged engine of Magadh Express was modernized. NCR is famous as it connects some of the tourist destinations such as Agra, Chitrakut Dham, Khajuraho, Gwalior, etc. NCR offers online services for the convenience of both national and foreign passengers.
Job Profile:
North Central Railway (NCR) invites applications from eligible Retired Military Personnels for filling up the Group D posts (Helper-II, Trackmen/Gang men, Box porter, Safaiwala, Porter, Points men, Gatemen, Parcel Porter, Office Khalasi, etc. in different departments.
No. of posts – 1400
Pay Scale – Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay 1800
Eligibility:
Age Limit - Un Reserved: 18 – 33 yrs; Other Backward Caste: 18-36 yrs; Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe: 18-38 yrs (relaxable as per rules).
Educational Qualification - Minimum qualification of matriculation or equivalent or higher qualification from recognized Board/University. Must have Army Class-I certificate or equivalent.
Experience - Ex-Servicemen retired after 15 yrs of service.
Selection Process:
Ex-servicemen who successfully pass the Medical Fitness Test conducted by the Railway Administration will be selected for the post of his preference based on military service experience.
