B.Sc in Nanotechnology is a bachelor’s degree course. The term “Nanotechnology” has evolved over the years via terminology drift to mean “anything smaller than micro technology,” such as nano powders, and other things that are of nanoscale in size, but not referring to mechanism that have been purposefully built from nanoscale components. The foresight institute has suggested an alternate term to represent the original meaning of nanotechnology: zettatecnology. It has a huge application in the field of science and medicine. By the help of Nanotechnology a micro processing procreating robot can be sent into the human body with the mission of detecting cancer cells, disassembling them, and sending them out into the bloodstream as waste product. By this we can imagine the intensive uses of Nano world.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for doing B.Sc. in Nanotechnology is that one should have at least passed the higher secondary exam i.e., (10+2) from any of the recognized boards with science stream comprising of at least physics and chemistry with an option of math or biology as third subject.
Course Outlook
The course duration for doing B.Sc. degree in Nanotechnology is of 3 years. These 3 years are divided into three parts of one year each. In order to be promoted to the next year one should pass the university exam at the end of each year.
Job Prospects
After completing B.Sc. in Nanotechnology the students can opt for higher studies i.e., M.Sc in Nanotechnology and then can be a part of some research project. The students doing nanotechnology can also join the IT sector as well as the CORE sector related to medicines or Pharmacy, or biology. They can also go in the research fields like DRDO in India.
