Center for Environmental Management of Degraded Ecosystems came into existence under the Government of India. The centre performs all its functions or operations under the aegis of School of Environmental Studies, University of Delhi. The centre was established in the year 2001. The centre aims to strengthen the research and training activities in the preiority areas of environmental management of degraded ecosystems. The other departments of School of Environmental Studies i.e. Department of Environmental Biology and Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies of Mountain & Hill Environment etc also coordinates with the center.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited on plain paper by Center for Environmental Management of Degraded Ecosystems for filling up the following positions of Scientist ‘D’, Scientist ‘B’, Scientific Assistant, Nature Education Officer, Supervisor and Driver.

1. Recruitment of Scientist ‘D’:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. degree in any branch of Life Sciences or Environmental Sciences with atleast 55% marks in aggregate and Ph.D. in the relavnt subject. Candidates should possess atleast 6 years of post doctoral research experience.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8000.

2. Recruitment of Scientist ‘B’:
No. of posts: Only 3 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. degree in any branch of Life Sciences or Environmental Sciences with atleast 55% marks in aggregate. Ph.D. in the relevant subject with atleast 5 years of post doctoral research experience in the relevant areas.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

3. Recruitment of Scientific Assistant:
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. degree in any branch of Life Sciences with field experience from a recognized institute or university.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 12000 per month.

4. Recruitment of Nature Education Officer:
No. of posts: Only 3 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. degree in any branch of Life Sciences with atleast 55% marks in aggregate. Candidates should possess atleast 2 years of experience in supervision of field works and knowledge of nursery techniques.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 12000 per month.

5. Recruitment of Supervisor:
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. degree in any branch of Life Sciences with atleast 5 years of experience in supervision of field works and knowledge of nursery techniques.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 12000 per month.

6. Recruitment of Driver:
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have done 10thor Matriculation with valid ligh or heavy motor driving license and 5 years driving experience.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 4590 per month.
