Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) for Engineering for the selection of eligible candidates for the admission into the B.Tech courses offered by various Engineering Colleges under The Bihar University. The exam is organized by Bihar engineering board or Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECEB). The duration of the course offered by the University are of four years. The candidates from all parts of India can apply for the test. Large numbers of candidates apply for the test each year and the exam is highly competitive.

Structure of BCECE Engineering

The admission of the course is based on the score secured in the entrance exam. The questions are of English format. Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) for Engineering is a written test which included questions of three papers. The time duration of the tests will be one hour for each paper. The test will be of objective type format. Each question consists of four options. The candidates have to pick the correct answer from the given alternatives.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates have to satisfy certain conditions for applying for the test. The candidates who have to attend the entrance exam should have completed their plus two with 50% marks. The candidate should be a citizen of India. The candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics. Candidates who from the other backward category candidates require 45% marks in the Higher Secondary Examination. The students who are going to attempt their final year examination can apply for the test. There is no minimum age limit for applying for the test.

How to Apply?

The application form and information bulletin is available from the colleges offering the courses. The candidates can purchase the form from the institutes by the payment of the application fee. The cost of the application form is Rs.600/- for the general candidates and Rs.300/- for the other category candidates. The form will also be obtainable from the selected SBT and Canara bank branches. The candidates who wish to receive the form by post can send a request letter and a bank draft to the Controller of BCECE test. The application forms have two color strips at the top of the form. The general candidates have to purchase the application form with Black color strip and the Sc/St candidates have to purchase the Red color strip form.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates must go through all the instructions given in the prospectus for filling the form and follow it. All the data entered in the form must be correct and there is no any chance for correct it later. The form should be filled by the candidates using a black pen. The details of the fee payment should be mentioned. The application form should not be stapled or folded. No any documents should be stapled with the form. The candidates have to make sure that duly filled form should reach the concerned authority before the due date.
