Director of School Education conducts Director of School Education Recruitment Examination (DSE Exam) every year for recruiting eligible candidates for the post of school assistants, secondary grade teacher, language pandit and Physical Education Teacher. All the interested candidates with the qualification can apply.

Structure of DSE Exam

Two hundred multiple choice questions will be asked for each category. Each correct answer will earn you 0.5 marks. The questions will differ according to the category he / she has applied for. The syllabi of the examination cover different subjects. Because of that each category has different subjects to learn.

Eligibility Criteria for the DSE Exam

Eligibility for school assistants is a bachelor’s degree in math’s/physics/chemistry/biology or zoology and a B.Ed degree. Candidates having these qualifications can apply for the posts of school assistant’s .Others are not eligible.

Candidates applying for the post of secondary grade teacher should posses a bachelor’s degree and a B.Ed or should have an intermediate certificate and D.Ed. These certificates should be issued by the Director of Government Examinations.

Candidates applying for the post of language pandit should have a bachelors degree in the language, the candidate is applying as language pandit. Candidates with post graduation certificate can also apply for the same.

Candidates applying for the post of Physical Education Teacher should have a bachelor’s degree and a B.P.Ed or M.P.Ed.candidates with intermediate certificates issued by the government and U.G.D.P.Ed can also apply.

How to Apply?

Online and offline method of submission of application form is possible. Candidates can register online in the official website of the Director of School Education Recruitment Examination.   • Written test will be in the month of April, 2012
  • Application forms should reach the concerned office before the second week of January, 2012

Study properly. Don’t waste time by getting too much involved in extracurricular activities etc. Reduce the time spend for sleeping and utilize it by studying. Go through the text thoroughly. If there is enough time, then try to write down the portions you have learnt. In case of doubts, prefer guidance. Give extra time for difficult topics. Work out previous years question papers for getting an idea about the questions in the question papers. Use comprehensives and guides for an extra support. Prefer a quiet place to study.
