The district of Purlia is one among the nineteen districts in the state of West Bengal and the district is located in the eastern part of the country. The district has the town of Purlia as its administrative headquarters and the administrative subdivisions of the district are Raghunathpur Subdivision, Purulia Sadar West Subdivision and Purulia Sadar East Subdivision.
