Eligibility Criterion for Graduate Engineers in DVC
Applications are invited for the post of Graduate Engineer Trainee in various departments in Damodar Valley Corporation. Those who have completed Bachelor of Technology/ Engineering in respective subjects with a minimum of 65% marks are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification
Candidates who have the required educational qualification are eligible to apply for the below mentioned posts.
Graduate Engineer Trainees (Electrical):
Those who have completed full time Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technology in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics from a recognized University are eligible to apply. They should have secured a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination. Those who are belonging to reserved category require first class marks so as to be eligible.
Graduate Engineer Trainees (Mechanical):
Full time Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical or Power plant engineering from a recognized University is the required educational qualification. Minimum marks required for qualification is 65%. Reserved category candidates require a maximum of 60% marks.
Graduate Engineer Trainees (Instrumentation and Control):
Candidates who have completed Bachelor of Engineering/ Technology in any of the following subjects are eligible to apply.
- Instrumentation and Control Engineering
- Instrumentation
- Applied Electronics and Instrumentation
- Electronics and Telecommunication
Those who have completed courses from a recognized University/ College approved by AICTE are only eligible to apply. Candidates who have secured not less than 65% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination are only eligible. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe require a minimum of 60% marks so as to be eligible.
Graduate Engineer Trainees (Information Technology):
Those who have completed Bachelor of Engineering/ Technology or Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or Computer Science from a recognized University are eligible to apply. They are required to secure a minimum of 65% marks for being eligible.
Graduate Engineer Trainees (Communication):
Full time Bachelor degree in any of the following courses from a recognized University is the required qualification.
- Electronics and Telecommunication
- Telecommunication Engineering
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
Candidates should secure a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination for being eligible. Those who are belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe are required to have a minimum of 60% marks so as to be eligible.
Age Restrictions:
Candidates who have completed a minimum of 21 years of age at the time of application are only eligible to apply. Those who are more than 29 years of age are not eligible. Apart from this, candidates belonging to reserved categories can avail relaxation in upper age limit as per the norms issued by the Government of India.
