V.M. Salgaocar College of Law founded in the year 1973, is a pioneer institution for legal education. Admission to three year LLB course is offered on the basis of candidate’s performance in Goa Law Common Admission Test. The college selects candidates to LLB honors course on the basis of an entrance exam carried out by the institute itself. Admission Procedure in V.M. Salgaocar College of Law

For Bachelor of Law-L.L.B

Bachelor degree holders with minimum 45% marks are eligible to apply for this course. Graduation must be obtained from either Goa University or equivalent. Candidates from other Universities should obtain an eligibility certificate from Goa University before admission. For this they must submit an application to Goa University along with application fee of Rs. 350/-. Admission to the course is offered on the basis of candidate’s score in Goa Law Common Admission Test (CAT).

For Bachelor of Law -L.L.B Honors

Candidates who have completed HSC from Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or equivalent are eligible to apply for 5 year integrated L.L.B Honors program. Qualification must be obtained in any subject/branch with a minimum 45% marks. Selection of candidates to the course is done on the basis of an entrance test carried out by the institute.

Written test is carried out in objective model. Time allotted for the completion of the test is 2 hours. Syllabus of the test is of XII level and one can expect questions from the following areas.

• Current affairs
• English language
• General knowledge
• Logical reasoning
• Objectivity

There will be five sections for the test. First section includes 30 questions from English language. Second and fourth sections comprises of 10 questions each from areas of analytical ability and common knowledge respectively. In third section, there will be 20 questions on mathematical ability. Fifth/last section includes 12 questions on general knowledge and current events.
