Admission Procedure for M.Tech in Punjabi University
Punjabi University offers M.Tech courses in streams like Mechanical Engineering, Communication Engineering, and Information Communication Technology. Admission to these courses is offered on the basis of GATE/University conducted entrance exams. University conducts a single test for selecting candidates to M.Tech in CSE and ICT. Separate entrance tests are conducted for selecting candidates in to streams of ME, CE and ECE.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech Admissions in Punjabi University
Common Eligibility for admissions is B.E./B.Tech degree with minimum 55% marks. Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering should possess the mentioned qualification in any of following streams.

For M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, eligible candidate must be an engineering graduate in any of the following streams.

- Instrumentation and Control Engineering
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Candidates who have completed their engineering degree in any of the streams can apply for M.Tech in Computer Engineering.
Admission Procedure for M.Tech in Punjabi University
Admission is offered through a written test conducted by Punjabi University or via GATE. Preference will be given to candidates having a GATE score.
Entrance test for M.Tech in ICT/CSE comprises of 150 questions. Each question carries one mark and there is no negative marking for the test also. There will be three sections for the test.

- Mathematics
Each section carries 50 questions. Total time for the test is 2 and half hours. Main topics covered under the syllabus of the exam are as follows.

Entrance exam for M.Tech in ECE, CE, ME, comprises of 100 multiple choice questions. Total time allotted for the test is 90 minutes. Syllabus of the test is based on topics covered under concerned stream. Eligible candidates can submit online application for admission cum entrance test through the official website of Punjabi University.
