Bio Chemistry is the combination of two subjects, Biology and Chemistry. The subject of Biochemistry basically deals with the study of chemical processes taking place in living beings. B.Sc in Bio Chemistry is a bachelor degree course having duration of 3 years. Certain Universities offer the course in yearly pattern whereas some others offer the course in semester pattern. The course study concentrates on the chemical reactions taking place inside the body of living beings. It exposes students with the structure and composition of lipids, nucleic acids and proteins etc. After completion of the course, student gain skills to identify the chemical reactions taking place in cells and tissues and to identify the effect the chemical actions in them.

Eligibility criterion for Bachelor of Science in Bio Chemistry

Like any other undergraduate level course, pass in 12th is the qualification required to get in to B.Sc degree in Bio Chemistry. The candidate should have studied XII class from any recognized educational institution with a minimum of 50% marks. Moreover, they should have passed the qualifying examination with Science as the core stream.  Admission process is carried out on the basis of the priority of the marks acquired in the qualifying examination.
