Eligibility Criteria and Selection Procedure for Management Trainee in BPCL
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) recruits engineering and management professionals to various Management Trainee positions. Those who have completed engineering degree or master level course in first attempt are eligible to apply. Selection is done on the basis of the the performance of the candidates in written exam, group discussion and interview. Selected candidates must pass medical test also.
Eligibility Criteria for Management Trainee in Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL)
Eligibility Criteria for Management Trainee in Engineering Stream - Candidates who have completed 4 year full time engineering degree are eligible to apply for this job. The degree must be completed with a minimum of 60% marks in first attempt itself. Such candidates must have obtained their engineering graduation in any of the streams mentioned below.
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Computer Science Engineering
- Fire Engineering
Eligibility for Management Trainee in Human Resource - Eligible candidate must have an MBA degree in HR, from any recognized educational institution. The course must be completed in regular mode with minimum 60% marks. Those who have completed Post Graduate Diploma Program in Human Resource or M.A in Human Resource/Personal Management are also eligible. Required qualification must be obtained in first attempt itself.
Applicants must meet certain age qualifications also. Upper age limit for engineering graduates is 25 years. Those who are applying for Management Trainee position in HR must be below 27 years of age.
Candidates belonging to reserved category can have relaxation in marks. Such candidates need to score 55% marks only.
Eligibility standards are subject to change according to the HR policies and norms of BPCL. Such changes are usually employed to restrict/relax the number of applicants.
Selection Procedure for Management Trainee in Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited
Selection procedure mainly involves three main stages.
- Written Test
- Group Discussion
- Personal Interview
Written Test is conducted as an objective model one. There will be two parts for the selection test, Part I and Part II. Part I covers questions in General aptitude. Part II is meant to measure the technical or professional knowledge of the candidate. Those who have passed written exam are short listed for the next round, group discussion. Candidates who can get through GD will be selected for personal interview. On the basis of the aggregate score obtained in these three stages, candidate will be short listed. Anyway, final selection will be granted only for those who clears the medical test.
