Respected Sir/Mam, Are there lateral entry for diploma holders in JEE for B.Tech? I have just completed my 3 years diploma of ECE, please guide me, I will be ever grateful? It will be helpful if you can answer me soon. Thank you!

No, there are no lateral entry admissions offered in NITs or IITs for candidates who have completed three years Diploma course from a recognized institution. Being a Diploma holder, you are not eligible to get admission in NIT and you can apply for admission in IIT for pursuing B.Tech course through JEE examination.

JEE will offer admission only in first year of B.Tech course. There is no lateral entry admission available at IITs and even if you have diploma qualification, it will not make you eligible for second year admission.

For lateral entry admission, you have to look for other colleges and institutes through a different entrance exam.
