You are absolutely eligible for IES by UPSC exem,eligibillity is graduation passed in any branch,age limit is 21 to 30 for general...

Dear there is no provision for CSE/IT to go for IES, mentioned below is the attachment for the IES 2011 syllabus and other complete details , so please go through it.

dats not correct.Any branch can give ies.provided u have to read the subjects presnt in that category..computer science and electronics and telecommunication branch,syllabus is almost same in 2nd yaer.additional two to three subjects are present in third year dat u have to study and give..so chilax..
Sanjay dont give wrong information to the students.Better u check out the eligibilty conditions of ies..

CSE People Dont worry about IES Exam. There is no Gate pass for the stream. Its better to see for another Gate

Any Engineering Graduate can appear for this exam. A degree in Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent. M.Sc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain Services/posts only.
General Ability Test is common to all. you have to chose the engineering branch viz civil / electrical / mech / ece for the Part I & II of objective type exam and Part I & II of conventional theory exam.
