Sorry to Say this you are not eligible to apply for NDA examination because to apply for this examination the candidate age lies between 16.5 years and 19 years so you are already crossed 19 years.

NDA Exam details :-

You have to completed your intermediate(12th) examination of a recognized School or equivalent qualification.You must have attained the age of 16.5 years and 19 years at the time of appearing for this examination.Final year of 12th examination may also eligible to apply.

So,according to the eligibility criteria you are not eligible to apply for NDA examination but you can apply for CDS examination if you are completed graduate degree.

CDS Exam details :-

You have to completed graduate degree of a recognized University or equivalent qualification and your age should be between 19-25 years.The age limits is differ from post to post because CDS examination is conducted varies examination like Military Academy,Naval Academy,Air force Academy,Officer Training Academy examination.

Those in the final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for this examination but pre-final year of degree course may not eligible to apply.

Criteria for Qualifying NDA exam:-


*Candidate pass 12th science with math,Physics,Chemistry as a subjects.

*Age- 16.5 to 19 years

This exam is also conducted by UPSC.

This exam is do twice in a year.

Sorry, you are not eligible for NDA exam as the max limit to apply for NDA exam is 19 years. So, in any way you are not eligible for NDA .

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for N.D.A exam at the age of 19 year..

Eligibility criteria for N.D.A:-
> Pass 12th with recognized university/ Board

NDA-NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for entry into Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good physical fitness.

Don't worry at the age of 20 years you may apply for CDS if you are interested.

CDS-COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years.

Am i eligible to give both NDA exam in a year if I am 18 years old?

Dear Friend,

The Age Limit For NDA Examination is mentioned below :

* Your age must lie in between 16.5-19 years as on 1st of january of the year in which the exam is going to be held.

So , on the basis of the above mentioned fact , i opine that you are absolutely ineligible for the NDA Exam.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy this exam is conducted by UPSC twice in Year in Month of June and December.........

>> A candidate should have completed their 12th Science with minimum 60% from Recognized Universities...

>> Age of candidate should be between 16.5 to 19 years......

>> A candidate Should have Nationality of INDIA.....

>> Only Unmarried Male can Apply for it....

NDA Exam is a exam that is conducted for the students who have just passed 10+2 or are currently studying in 10+2 and they have strong will to make their career in Defence Field.

You can appear for NDA Exam only if you satisfy all criteria for its Eligiblity:

>> Only Unmarried Male Candidates are eligible to appear for this exam.

>> Age limit of the candidate must lie between 16.5 to 19 years.

Since, your age is 20 now, so you cannot apply for NDA Exam, however you have another option of applying for CDS Exam, and after graduation you will be eligible for CDS Exam.

The basic eligibility criteria for NDA exams is to be between 16.5 and 19 years of age.
Now that you are 20 years old then you must complete graduation from a recognized university.
Also then you must be between 19 to 25 years of age.
Apart from the written exam there is also a physical test that one must give to get selected.
