Can a commerce student prepare for ias or ips exam?

Hi friend,

Yes Commerce Students are eligible to become IAS or IPS exam.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service.

IPS stands for Indian Police Service.

IAS and IPS exams are Civil Service Examinations.

Yes a candidate having commerce stream will be able to apply for IAS/IPS Exam conducted by UPSC.But in order to apply for this exam you will have to meet these Eligibility conditions :-

Educational qualification :-
~You should have a bachelor degree in Commerce from recognized university.

Age :-
~Minimum age - 21 years.
~Maximum allowed - 30 years.

This exam will be conducted in 3 stages .These stages are :-
~Civil Services - Preliminary Exam.
~Civil Services - Mains Exam.
~Interview/Personality test .

Civil Services - Preliminary Exam will consists of 2 papers.Each paper will be objective type with multiple choice answers.Total marks for each paper will be of 200 marks.

Civil Services - Mains Exam will consists of 9 papers.It will be of written type.
Total marks for this exam will be of 1750.

Interview Exam will be taken for those candidates who will get qualify the Mains Exam.This test will be of 275 marks.

In this exam it will be necessary to take one Indian Language.The list of these Indian Languages are :-

• Assamese.
• Bengali.
• Bodo.
• Dogri.
• Gujarati.
• Hindi.
• Kannada.
• Kashmiri.
• Konkani.
• Maithili.
• Malayalam.
• Marathi.
• Nepali.
• Oriya.
• Punjabi.
• Sanskrit.
• Santali.
• Sindhi.
• Tamil.
• Telugu.
• Urdu.

Yes, a Commerce student being a Graduate, is eligible for IAS or IPS entrance exam.

IAS/IPS - Indian Administrative Service/Indian Police Service and to become an IAS/IPS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate can apply for Civil Service Exam.

The candidate aspiring for IPS should have good Physical Fitness with minimum prescribed Physical requirement.

Ya a commerce student can preapare for upsc exam by having bachelor degree of 4 year from commerce

You can apply civil service exam.From result of that exam top rankers
will get IAS then IPS
priority order- IAS
IPS
IRS
IFS. etc.
The minimum criteria for appear civil service exam is:
• Minimum age for appear exam is 21 years
• Candidate have at least one degree .

As you have completed your 12th class, you will need to complete an Undergraduate course of minimum 3 years in any stream. Keep in mind that whichever course you will be choosing, you should choose it as per your interest so that you can take a subject from your college degree course as your Optional for UPSC examination. To become an IAS officer, one needs to appear and qualify UPSC examination with a good ranking.

UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)
UPSC conducts Civil Services Examination(CSE) every year to recruit deserving candidates into group A and group B level services. It includes IAS, IFS, IPS, IRS, etc., with a total of 25 services.

Eligibility criteria for UPSC:
• You must have completed graduation with any stream
• You must have attained age of minimum 21 years and you should not be more than 32 years of age for general category, 35 years for OBC and 37 years for ST/SC category.
• Candidates in their final year of college can also apply.

There are three stages for UPSC examination:
1. Preliminary (It's a qualifying examination)
2. Mains (Written)
3. Personality Test (Interview)

After qualifying in all these stages, a candidate is recommended to various services as per his/her rankings.
