Yes, B-TECH 3 rd year student are eligible for GATE exam . If you are dropper candidate in 4 th year then you are eligible.

There is no restriction for attempts for GATE exam. You can try it many times.

The GATE score is valid for two years.

Total no of marks is 100 and time duration is 3 hr.

B-TECH and masters degree are eligible for GATE exam

i am sorry but u are not eligible for GATE as the people who have an engineering degree are eligible for admissions through the GATE exam..so until u complete your engineering n get ur degree.. u are not eligible

i dropped 2 yrs after 12 n i am pursuing b.tech currently.will i b able 2 sit 4 GATE

No friend you can not eligible for GATE exam in 3th year because from 2011 Gate exam is for only for final yr student or pass out student

GATE exam is conducted for engineers to get admission for masters in engineering from various institutions all over india.
if you want to succeed in GATE:
first download your GATE syllabus(it differs according to branch) and put a schedule for your preparation
prepare all your engineering subjects from the prescribed books
concentrate well and prepare daily. put in lots hard work
download previous year question papers and solve them
all the best

In 2014 can I give both jee and gate??
