Re: Can a Female Candidate apply for NDA exam? What is the eligibility criteria required and what is the procedure to apply for the exam?
NDA refers to National Defense Academy and for joining the same one needs to qualify NDA entrance examination which is held by UPSC twice every year.
* The minimum eligibility criteria required for appearing in the same examination are as here under :- i) You must be an unmarried Indian male citizen. ii) Your age must lie in between 16.5 years to 19.5 years. iii) You must have either completed your Class 12th or must be in the same class with any stream from a recognized board. iv) You must satisfy the physical and mental fitness requirement norms as notified in the notification released for the same examination. So being a female candidate you are not eligible for appearing in NDA examination as it is mentioned in above eligibility criteria as for the same examination only male candidates are eligible.
