Any stream Graduates can apply for UPSC Civil Services Examination. Hence you should not take tension if you are an Arts Graduate and concentrate on your preparation.

You must also other criteria like age, nationality to become eligible for UPSC exam. So make sure that you also have the other criteria fulfilled
.

Also try to be well prepared for the exam because it is one of the most popular exams in India and competition is very high in it due to less number of vacancies and high number of aspirants.

There is limit in attempts for General/OBC candidates. Hence if you belong to these category then plan your attempts carefully and don't apply for exam if you are not sure of your preparation.

Age Limit:

The age for general candidate is 21 to 30 years. Other reserved category candidates can get age relaxation.

SC/ST : 5 years relaxation

OBC : 3 years relaxation

Selection Procedure:

-Preliminary Exam

-Mains Exam

-Interview

Prelim will be objective type and you have to pass it to become eligible for mains stage. Mains exam will be descriptive exam and there will be optional subjects also in this stage. If you score top marks in mains then you will be called for interview.

The merit will decide the selection of a candidate for a respective service.
