Re: Can I become an IAS officer? I am a 25 years old
Sure there will be no problem. Married women can also apply for the Indian Administrative Service. Besides you are also meeting the age limit as well.
Therefore you should start the preparation for the Civil Services Examination. Although you can not appear for the IAS entrance exam this year. But still this is the right time to start the preparation. You must know that Civil Services Examination is not easy to clear. Therefore it is recommended to start the preparation 8 to 10 months in advance. Start with the NCERT books for the Class 12th. You should also download the previous year question papers from internet and start solving them. This is the best way to identify weak areas. Also decide upon the 2 optional subjects for the entrance exam. Its better to have subjects from your course that you find easy. IAS Eligibility 1. Only Indian citizen is allowed to apply. 2. A bachelor's degree is any discipline. 3. No percentage criteria for the qualifying course. 4. You should be at least 21 years old to apply. 5. General candidate should not be more than 30 years old. 6. However OBC can apply upto 33 years. 7. The relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST. 8. There are no physical requirements for IAS. Selection Procedure 1. Preliminary Exam 2. Main Exam 3. Interview (Personal) |

Re: Can I become an IAS officer? I am a 25 years old
As you are pursuing final year of BA course, you will be eligible to apply for IAS selection procedure once you have done with your BA course.
The reason being completion of Graduation is the minimum academic qualification that is required for the candidates in order to apply for IAS. Every year UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) will conduct civil services exam to recruit the candidates into various civil services like IAS IPS IRS IFS etc. The complete selection procedure would involve Civil Services Aptitude Test Civil Services Main Exam Interview As you are in the age of 25 years, you will meet the required age criteria for this exam also. In addition, you should be a citizen of India to apply for this exam. It is not a problem of whether you are married or not married since both married and unmarried candidates are eligible to apply for civil services exam. You can take this exam upto the age of 30 years. Better to opt for the optional subjects like Economics or Commerce for main Exam. Have good preparation for the Exam and crack it. For updated information on this exam, you can visit the official website of UPSC. Here it is http://upsc.gov.in/ |
