IFS stands for Indian Forest Service.This exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year once. Those candidate have graduation degree from Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent are applicable for IFS exam. You have completed B.Sc in agriculture engineering so you are eligible to attend in IFS Exam. Paper I – General English 300 marks 2. Paper II – General Knowledge 300 marks 3. Papers III, IV, V and VI.-The two subjects from the list of optional subjects listed in paragraph 2. IFS-Indian Forest Service. UPSC conducting this exam every year once only. Eligibility criteria:- The candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in any of the following stream from a recognised university. [B]Animal husbandry and veterinary science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology or degree in agriculture or forestry. No need of percentage restrictions to apply this exam. You must be a citizen of India. Age criteria:- The age limits are 21 years to 30 years, 3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates, 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates. Selection steps in details:- Preliminary examination, Mains examination, Personal interview. Syllabus:- Preliminary exam:- Prelims exam consists of two papers (Paper-I and Paper-II), each one consist of 300 marks. Mains exam: Paper-III-First optional subject paper-1: 200 marks, Paper-IV-First optional subject paper-2: 200 marks, Paper-V-Second optional subject paper-1: 200 marks, Paper-VI-Second optional subject paper-2: 200 marks. IFS Stands Indian Forest Service
IFS is a one of the civil service examination . It is conducted by Union Public Service Commission once in a year Eligibility Criteria : Nationality : Citizen of Indian Educational Qualification : Graduation in any one following stream from a recognized university Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science Botany Chemistry Geology Mathematics Physics Statistics Zoology (OR) Graduation in Agriculture / Forestry There is no percentage requires Age Limit : not more then 30 years & not less then 21 years The upper age relaxation as per govt rules for reserved candidates 3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates Selection Process : Preliminary Examination Syllabus : It consists of two papers i.e paper I & paper II Each paper consist of 300 marks Main Examination Syllabus : paper III : First optional subjects paper 1 paper IV : First optional subjects paper 2 paper V : Second optional subjects paper 1 paper VI : Second optional subjects paper 2 Each paper consists of 200 marks Personal Interview for more details see below attachment |

I have passed my graduation in B.sc generals course in the year 2015 under Calcutta university...My pass subjects are Botany, Chemistry and Zoology.. But as I am not an Honours course students so am I eligible for the IFS exam of UPSC???
