My university allows 3 uncleared backlogs for the degree. If somebody have backlogs less than 3 then he/she will get the degree and they don't have to clear the backlog.
IAF says no backlogs.
So if i have not cleared my backlogs but i have the degree then am i eligible for the IAF???

it is clearly written in the i a f application brochure that there must not any back log till the exam date,
but you have the back log so you can not apply.
so think about the other option,

Thanks for your responses.
Actually the backlogs clause is only written for the final year and pre-final year students.
There is no such condition specified for the passed out students.
As i am a passed out student but i have one back that i didn't cleared last year. So in that case. what's your suggestion.
I have the degree and provisional.

it is very unfortunate that you cannot apply for IAF since you have a backlog in your semesters.as it is already mentioned in the brochure.
first you must clear all your backlogs in subjects then apply for it.
better luck next time.

if your bachelor degree mansion any backlogs ....
then you are not eligible ...
if you have university degree without backlog ..
then you are eligible ...

Still you are not eligible for getting into IAF. As because backlogs is strictly no-no for joining any of defence services weather it is Army,Navy or Airforce.

You would be eligible only if you have no backlogs or Provisional degree with out backlogs.

@prince and @guest you both are not eligible for IAF as defence services do not accept students with any back in especially IAF and that too in graduation....
well you can join IAF but not in officers cadre you can join IAF as noncommisioned officers and then you can later on try for IAF commisioned grade after 5 years of service. that is the only option for you left if you are determined to join IAF..

As you mentioned that you have backlog in your undergraduate courses,
according to that you are not eligible for the IAF.

You must have to clear your backlogs ,because in defense there is not any privision for the backlog candidates to sit in the exams.

If you still has any doubt then visit the official website of IAF www.indianairforce.nic.in.

you can give the exam of IAF with the back log....but you have to mention about the back log in the application form...
and also your backlog must be clear at the time of joining,
so with the backlog you can not join.

you must have a clear record at the time of enrollment for its examination.

f you have backlog in the 5th semester or you are in the 3rd year then you are allowed even with the backlog.but if you are in final year then there is no any way to join the IAF,so now its your turns to decides,

i had a backlog in my 3rd semester....i have cleared it now in my 5th semester...

hii friend you need to clear you backlock then apply for the iaf .... and i don know that you are eligible or not for the iaf because i don no they select you after clearing you backlocks.........

You are saying that you have backlogs, and you even mentioned that IAF does not allow candidates with backlogs, then what is the whole point of asking this question??

It is pretty clear, you have to have cleared all the subjects and then only you are eligible!

sorry to say, you can't join in IAF.

as to join in IAF final year engineering student or engineering holders candidate candidate can apply, those have not any backlogs.

as you have backlogs, so you can't join.

you can't get a degree if you have backlog in your subject's papers.at first you have to clear it.

after clearing your backlog you can join IAF.because for appear in the IAF exam you have to be pass.

sir, please explain me the diffarence between a backlog and a supplementary.
I am a third semester student ..In 1st and 2nd semester, i got two supplementarys, I cleared those.
Is it considered as a backlog?

Same is the case with me... I Cleared my B.E 7,8th Sem in 1st attempt,scored 65% Agg, but i am having 1Subject backlog (got 1kt) in 5th Sem, When i was in 8th Sem i Appeared for Interview in Air India, and had got selected...(Yet to sign Bond)
I dont have my final Year Marksheets.. but have 'Certificate of Course Completion'
Weather ill be considered please reply .....
