The abbreviation of IFS is Indian Forest Services. Not at all, You can't sit for Indian Forest Services exam after doing BBA; because BBA candidates are not preferable to sit for Indian Forest Services exam. Indian Forest Services exam is a civil services exam, that is organized by Union Public Service Commission every year. The educational qualifications regarding with Indian Forest Services exam are below mentioned:- # Candidates must have finished their bachelor degree in Botany/Chemistry/Mathematics/Physics/Zoology/Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science/Engineering/Agriculture/Forestry from any approved institution. # Citizenship:- Must be Indian. hi,
i am very anxious to know about eligibility of mbbs graduates for IFS exam.I have asked few institutes about the same but they didnt gave clear explanation. UPSC gave a phrase " or equivalent" in the eligibility criteria on its IFS page http://upsc.gov.in/general/ifs.htm does it cover mbbs also. plz help. even people here in this forum have told positively that i can give the exam , but still i am not getting a clear answer from the upsc ! i still gotta start the preparation with the subjects yet to be choosen, so i cant just start and then end up in nothing. so guys would you please direct me to something which can show some mbbs guy qualifying ifs exam and getting recruited ....plz help thanks |

Sorry to say this you can not apply for this IFS(Indian Forest Service) with your after BBA education. Because those which candidate should be a Bachelor's degree with at least of the subject Animal Husbandtry & Vaterinary Science,Botany,Chemistry,Geology,Mathematics,Physi cs,Statics & Zoology. OR A Bachelor Degree in Agriculture or Forestry. OR Engineering of a Recognized University or Equilavalent. Coming to the eligibility criteria for the examinations : 1.Academic qualification: >>Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least one of the subjects animal husbandry ,veterinary science ,zoology ,botany ,chemistry ,geology or mathematics,physics,statistics ,bachelor's degree in agriculture ,forestry or degree in engineering or its equivalent. Final year candidates are also allowed to apply for the exam. So if you have completed bachelor of business administration with at least any of the subjects mentioned above then you can apply for the exam. 2.Age limitations: The age limit is 21-30 years with relaxation of three years to obc and five years to sc/st candidate in upper age limits. 3.Nationality : >>You must be an Indian citizen. 4.Examination pattern: Written exam:conventional type: Paper I :General English Paper II:General Knowledge Paper III,IV ,V ,VI from the optional subjects. Whether you can sit for the IFS Exam or not after completing BBA depends on you that do you fulfill the required eligibility criteria for the exam or not. The Required Eligibility Criteria for IFS Exam are : # Educational Qualifications : The candidate must have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university. Below is the Eligibilty to apply for the Indian Forest Officer exams: Bachelors degree Pass. You should have studied at least one of the below subjects in the Bachelors Degree Level Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry Or BE/Btech pass Age- Minimum 21 years Maximum 30 years Age relaxations of 3 years is given to OBC candidates and 5 years to SC/ST candidates Attempts- General Category- 4 times OBC category-7 times |

After BBA(Bachelor of Business Administration) one is not eligible to apply for IFS.
IFS - Indian Forest Service and to become an IFS officer, one has to get through Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year after Graduation from Science stream. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree in Animal Husbandry/Veterinary/Botany/Zoology/Forestry/ Geology/Physics/Agriculture/Biotechnology etc. from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness, can apply for IFS.
