GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and it is conducted by IIT's for those candidates who are interested in M.teh course.

CAT stands for Common Admission test and this examination is conducted by IIM's every year.

So, both these are different examination and if you take a coaching of CAT Examination, then how can you attend the GATE Examination. GATE Examination are different from CAT. You need seperate coaching for GATE Examination, only then you will be able to cracked GATE.

To apply for GATE Examination, you have to complete your Graduate/Post graduate degree course in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture or in any branch of Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent.

If you have fulfill the given criteria only then you are eligible for GATE Examination.
