Can I write IAS exam on the basics of 10th and graduation?
I have done my 10th and graduation from ugc recognized college.!! my 12th is not done from ugc recognized college..
plz let me know if im eligible to write ias exms on the basic of 10th and graduation....??? plz ill be waitin for ur respond.. ias is ma dream.. email id [email protected]. |

Basically 10+2 degree are not based on UGC,its degree is recognized from state board/CBSE/ICSE.So if you have completed your Graduation and its degree is recognized from UGC then you can apply for it. IAS Exam i.e. Indian Administrative Exam IAS exams are conducted by UPSC every year. To become IAS officer you need to complete your studies i.e. after 10th complete 11th & 12th,then complete Graduation from a recognized university. Minimum qualification required to appear for IAS exams is Graduation from a recognized university.

Hello,
Yes you can give IAS exam.... as directed by UPSC Educational Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification (Para 3(iii) of Notice). |

You can eligible for the IAS Exam after completing 10th & Graduation with UGC recognized University. IAS Stands for Idian Administrative Service. IAS exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission once in a Year. Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification: The applicant must complete the Bachelor Degree from any recognized University with any stream. No percentage required for this exam. Final year appearing candidates are eligible for this exam. Nationality: The applicant must have Indian Citizenship. Age limit: The candidate age limit should be between 21 years to 30 years. The candidate have upper age relaxation for other categories. 3 years for OBC candidates. 5 years for SC\ST candidates. 10 years for PWD candidates. No of Attempts: 4 attempts for General Candidates 7 attempts for OBC Candidates. No limit of Attempts for SC\ST Candidates. Selection Process: Civil Service Aptitude Test(CSAT) Main Exam Interview Exam Pattern: All the Best................. |

Well no need to worry as you have done your graduation from recognized Institution which is a must for every candidates . Not doing 10+2 from recognized Institutes hardly matters , what matters is your Graduation degree in any discipline . Other Eligibility that you must posses in order to sit for an IAS officer exam are as follows : Age Limit for IAS exams (civil services) - Eligibility for IAS - Indian nationals who have attained the age of 21 years, and not have attained the upper age limit on 1st August of the year in which he/she attempts the exams are eligible. The upper age limit is given in the table below for various categories . > > General Category: 30 years > > Other Backward Classes (OBC) : 33 years > > Scheduled Tribes / Scheduled Tribes : 35 years Educational Qualification: > > The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recongnized university. > > Final year degree students who will obtain degree by August 1, 2013 are also eligible for CSAT 2013. > > The degree can be of any class (distinction, first, second etc.). > > Degree obtained by distance education/open university is also eligible if the university is a recognized university. If you have completed Graduation without passing 12th class then your Graduation degree will be void and you will not be eligible for any Graduation based job.
You are saying 12th not done from UGC recognised college. Who said you that 12th is UGC recognised course? 12th should be from a recognised Board of Education like CBSE, ICSE, Any State Board or Open Schooling. So if you have done from a recognised Board then don't worry you will be eligible for IAS Examination. The age limit for IAS Examination is given below: General Category- 21 to 30 years OBC Category - 21 to 33 years SC/ST Category - 21 to 35 years Examination Pattern: -Preliminary Exam -Mains Exam -Interview So start your preparation because the selection will be based on the marks in the above examination.
