Sorry to say that MCA candidate are not Applicable for IES exam.Only B-TECH degree holder and some selective M.Sc degree holder candidate are applicable for IES exam.

IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year.

If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Msc degree equivalent with wireless communication, electronics, radio physics or radio engineering are applicable for IES exam.

No, an MCA students cannot write IES exam as IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year .The eligibility criteria for the same is as under-

1. The candidate must complete any degree with 55% marks of a recognized university

2. He must pass a graduate membership examination of electronics and telecommunication Engineering

3. M.Sc degree or it's equivalent with wireless communication , Electronics , Radio Physics Engineering as a special subject.

4. The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

But an NCA student can appear in the NET exam that is meant for the JRF & Lecturership.

Sorry to say but a MCA Student is not considered eligible to appear for the IES Exam.

The IES Stands for Indian Engineering Services. The Union Public Service Commission conducts the IES Exam once every year.

This Exam is conducted for those students who have completed Graduation in Engineering with any stream from any recognized college/university.

In this examination , the questions asked are only from the below mentioned four streams of Engineering :

1) Civil Engineering

I am Sorry to say that An MCA graduate Candidate will not Eligible to appear in IES exams. Because according to IES eligilibilty Criteria only B.tech Degree holder and Some specific M.Sc degree holder are allow to appear in this exam.
