sir i am a student or class 12th(sci).i want to become an ips officer.what will i do please inform me about it?

The procedure to become the IPS is as follows:-
You need to first clear the CSAT exam conducted by UPSC.
Then the eligibility for giving the IPS exam is as follows:-
Between 21-30 years for general category and 21-35 years for SC/ST/OBC.
A graduate from any recognized university.
4 attempts for general category and 7 attempts for OBC/SC/ST.

you have to appear for the entrance exam of the conducted by the UPS C ,to appear for exam. The UPS C exam is divided into 3 parts that are; pre.exam, main exam, and an interview .
For the IPS you need to be good in GK, GS and about the current affairs .In the interview its always said that the things cumming under sky can be asked .For general only 4 attempts and 7 attempts to Obc.

Hi friend,

To become an IPS officer you must first clear an exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission of INDIA. To apply for that exam your educational qualification required is a graduation and your age must be above 21 and below 30 yrs. As your still in 12th std you must first finish a graduation course.

My suggestion for you is to apply in any college for course which you can clear easily so that by the side you can also prepare for IAS exam.

Before applying for IPS, you have to fulfill the required criteria:


Educational qualification:
You should have completed your graduation in any discipline from any recognized university.

Age limit:
Should have crossed 21 years. But should not have crossed 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs .

Physical Standard:
Height – Male 165 cm

Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9

Blood pressure (High) – Age 23 – 123,
age 24 – 124,
age 25 –122,
age 28 – 124,
age 30 –125,
age 32 – 126,
age 34 – 127.

Others:
Good listening & normal ear cavity. Candidate should not stammer while speaking.

To prepare for IPS, You should have good knowledge in current affairs and social issues.
Because you need to have very strong in that....

Follow the NCERT books first...I will advise you to cover the topics from NCERT books only as far as possible.

IPS is Indian Police Service:

IPS is one of the Indian civil service exam and it is one of the entrance exam which is conducted by UPSC.

As you are a student of +2,it is better to continue your studies and finish your degree as there is no specified discipline in which you must excile as the minimum qualification for the exam is a degree.

Eligibility for IPS:

Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Candidates should have a age limit of 21-30 years and for other categories like SC/ST it is 35 years and for OBC it is 33 years.

Candidates should have a degree from a recognized university.

Attempts:

For SC/ST there is no limit.
For OBC it is 7
For General it is 4.

for appearing in this exam you must to complete your graduation in any stream from any recognized university .you can apply for this exam under the age limit of 21-30 years. there is also the 5 years relaxation for SC\ST candidates. no.of attempt for a general candidates is 4 times and for OBC candidates it is 7 times. for SC\ST candidatyes there are no such restriction .
