The term christian is of two categories in which their origin if from Roman catholic, converted from other religion they may be regarded as BC and they are from Protestant they are usually the BC, often called OBC category. it depends up on the state rules and you didnt mention your state, if you are in tamilnadu, the above said is applicable;

I think Christians come under general category only..
and the age limit for that is 30 years...

the age limit for the exam is from 21 to 30 years so you can give the exam till 2011
and they have not mentioned anything like christians belong to OBC.Usually they dont belong to that category

Friend,see that how it works that OBC is a category of backward classes.
Christians come under minority in India,
So,resoundly it will under some specific sections in christians that have been declared OBC.

is christians of karnataka belongs to OBC

In karnataka,Chirstains belongs to BC.But as per central confirmation,the reason not specified correctly whether karnataka Chirstains belongs OBC or not.

selected groups of castes under christians come under OBC category like matthew,stalks etc.

listen dude that all depends in which state u are residing
where u r in minority then generaly u r bc else u r not

30 years is max age limit for upsc exam to be given bya n gen or bc candidate

Do Christians belongs to OBC in Karnataka state.Because I received the certificate that I belong to the Backward class community III B category,certificate issued by Karnataka state backward class.Please suggest me regarding this.

they comes under the catogory of obc.................

christians are taken under the bc.not OBC.
and also taken as general.
these are two types as state rules.

sozlia vellalars are BC or OBC . MY DATE OF BIRTH 07/1978. I CAN APPLY UPSC PRELIMINARY EXAM IN 2011

I belong to 'Christian-Jacobite', I applied for CSP 2011 online but gave 'No' for Minority. Later from my friend I heard all Christians must give 'yes' for minority, I checked the website and I found there is sub-option to select religion 'Christian' if we opt 'yes' for minority.

Do I actually belong to minority? If yes, is there any specified reservation? Can I apply online again to correctly opt 'yes' for minority?

hi im basically from tamil nadu but settled now in orissa..i want to write ugc-net exam this december.im from christian community.do i belong to obc/gc as my dob is 5.6.82.can i take the net exam.

i belongs to ganda christian community of orissa , please let me know the obc status in central list

I m a christian and caste is jacobite... according to goverment of karnataka ..we have been provided with a category of 3B ...want to know whether i come under OBC r not? appliacable for PSU's and gate...
