DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GE, OBC AND OC

There is no big difference between GE, OBC, OC etc it's just the caste difference given according to the financial, educational background..

-> But now a days this is not proper ordered...

-> The definition as follows...

GE and OC - General Category and Other Caste comes in same category where they are financially and educationally strong.

OBC - Other Backward Class is somewhere in the middle which in the sense they are not strong and neither weak.

SC/ST - Schedule Cast/Schedule Tribe is considered to be the weakest financially and educationally..


-> In most of the educational sectors, government jobs there is always reserved seats for the people who are in the weakest caste.. other than this there is no difference anywhere else...

GE means General Category, OC means Open Category and OBC expands to Other Backward Castes. The categories GE and OC include the same. They comprise of the three highest classes Kshatriyas, Brahmins, and, Vaishyas. These two categories have no reservation in the employment. The category OBC is a very large group and constitution consider them as being socially and economically very backward. So, they can avail reservation in employment and enjoy other benefits.

as per me its the political difference which made it.in todays time everyone have a broad thinking and all are equal but on the basis of caste these categories are divided.GE means general category i.e caste having resources and better living standard.OBC means other backward caste i.e having less oppurtunities and fairly less resources.OC means other caste i.e other then these.these are the aspects on which OBC's are given oppurtunities to make every caste equal in our society.

there is a BIG DIFFERENCE between all the categories that you asked

for.this signifies relaxation to the depressed and educationally backward

classes,and economically and financially strong

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GE,OC,OBC

GE(GENERAL)

• GE stands for general.it is assumed that they are economically,financially and socially sound than other castes

• no educational relaxation

OC(OPEN CATEGORY)

• OC stands for open category hence they are the same as general

• hence no reservation in our educational system

OBC(OTHER BACKWARD CASTES

• stands for other backward classes

• they get reservation of 27 % in educational institutions
