The minimum qualification required to join the CBI(Central Bureau of Investigation) is to have a graduation degree in any stream with 50% marks.

You have to crack the Civil Services Exam conducted by the UPSC, which consists of a written exam and as well as personal interview.

To join the CBI as an Sub-Inspector/Assistant Grade inspector,
you need to appear for the SSC Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam.
The exam is conducted by the SSC every year.

Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

Age Limits:

Candidate must be between 20-27 years of age.

Pattern Of examination:


The exam is held in 2 stages.
Each stage is of 100 marks and of 2 hours duration.

Joining into CBI is through CGPE i.e Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam which is Conducted by SSC (Staff Selection Board) Every Year.

You must be Graduation courses in Criminology For making Yourself Eligible For CBI.

For Graduation in Criminology in Different University in India you must be 12th passed.

Syllabus: The syllabus for a course in Criminology usually includes - Principles of Criminology, Psychology of Crime, Criminal Law, Police Administration, Forensic Science and Medicine, Juvenile Delinquency, Correctional Management and Rehabilitation of Criminals etc.

You age must be lie in between 18 to 27 years For Inspectors or CE and Div. Acctts or Auditors or UDCs,20 to 27 years for Assistant Grade & SIs in CBI and 20 to 25 years for SIs in CPOs

Pattern Of the Exam consists of Part I and Part II

In part I it consist of Paper I and Paper II which is of 400 Marks Total.General Test is 200 marks and English Language is of 200 Marks.

In Part II it consists of Interview which is of 100 Marks Total.

Crime Branch CBI (Central bureau of Investigation) is a specialized wing in many state police forces in India of their Criminal Investigation Department .

Other branches of the CBI are

to get in to CBI you need to appear in the UPSC civil services examination and then get into the IPS cadre.
the eligibility criteria for this exam is you should have completed graduation and the age should be between 21 to 28

But you have to undergo a long process as you have to write CSE(Civils Examination)in the integrated services of the CSE or there is one more method that is SSC(Staff Selection Committee exam) with this exam too

The Eligibility regarding age is 21-27 years

To get jobs in some of the important post of bureau

you should complete your graduation in criminology field

your degree must be from a recognized Indian University.

you can enter into CBI as Inspector but the high level jobs are by IPS
officers only

SSC is also not a simple exam it also consists of 4 stages you have to clear all of them
