Custom officer's exam is a civil service exam conducted by UPSC every year . Customs officers are the law enforcements professionals who focus on the border securities of a country. Eligibility criteria for Customs officer are as follows :- 1]A candidate should have graduation degree in any discipline. 2] A candidate should have atleast 50% in graduation . 3]Age limit -21-30 years for open category. 4]Age limit for OBC -21-33 years . 5]Age limit for SC/ST -21-35 years . 6] A candidate should be physically fit . 7] A candidate should be citizen of India . there are more than one way are possible foe taking entry in this field
. on way is through UPSC entry scheme which is held every year.For this candidate should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university. Candidate has to clear first the preliminary examination and after that they have to clear the main examination. second way is through direct entry scheme through which you can apply as a Preventive officers/Inspectors. Staff selection commission will conduct the examination for this entry scheme. For this entry scheme also a candidate should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university. Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible. |

If you are interested in becoming custom officer, you will have to qualify Combined Graduate Level Exam. This examination is conducted by staff selection commission and to be eligible for it, you must fulfill its eligibility criteria: You must hold a bachelors degree in any discipline. you must be within the age limit of 18-27 years. The notification is usually published in India'e leading newspapers and on the official website of SSC. As soon as the notification is published, you may apply online through www.ssconline.nic.in |

Customs Officer examination is conducted by the UPSC.For this post you have to take the Civil Services Examination
Customs Department is one of the main tax collecting departments of the government.The area of working of custom officer mainly includes :: Its the duty of the custom officer to take control of imported and exported goods. Customs officers work to ensure that the due import and export licensing procedures are completed by different Air planes and the ships . Eligibility : You must have got a bachelor’s degree in any stream from the recognized college.There is no percentage criteria for the exam You have option to take State Public Service Commission’s Allied Services Exam for state-level jobs in Customs and Excise which is equivalent to custom officer . To prepare for the UPSC exams you need to in touch with all the current affairs and should have good General Awareness. You can also become :: Constables Preventive Officers / Inspectors Clerical Cadres |
