In order to become a Customs Officer you should first complete B.Com degree. Graduation in any discipline is the required qualification for this post. You should score at least 55% marks in graduation level to apply for this post. The upper age limit to apply for this post is 30 years. You should attend UPSC exam as part of selection procedure for this job. You should first clear a preliminary exam which will help you to attend main exam also. Those who are selected in written test will have to clear Physical Test and Personal Interview to get in to this post.

custom officer eligibility criteria:-
To become a custom officer you have to give an exam conducted by the UPSC. To give this exam you should be a bachelor degree holder with minimum 55% marks at graduation level. You should be between 19-25 years of age. You should have the vehicle license and ability to work flexible schedules and you have the reliable transportation. For the written test exam its very important to know the current affairs. That is why read as many journals, magazines and newspapers possible. Always keep yourself updated. The function of the customs department is to control the import and export of goods with the purpose of collecting duty and maintaina check on the entry of prohibited and restricted goods.The customs officer ensures that Smuggling doesn't takes place.
The Eligibility details are as follows: * Must be a citizen of India. * Must have completed graduation from any recognized univershty. * Candidates must have 55% of marks in their graduation. * Must be more than 18 years of age. * Must possess Vehicle license. * Ability to work in flexible schedules. The above mentioned are the eligibility details of the custom officer.In order to become customs officer,candidates have to write the civil services examination conducted by UPSC.There are two exams conducted Preliminary and Main.The candidates who passed preliminary are only eligible for the Main examination. |

Dear..
Custom officer is generally recruited by both UPSC as well as SSC. IF you want to be a custom officer then you should first check with the eligibility criteria of the job. The eligibility :- Minimum graduation is needed Graduation must be done from some recognized university minimum percentage required is 55% Minimum age limit is 18 years Max. age limit is 26 years if you are fulfilling this criteria then you can just fill the form of UPSC when ever they notify and give exam to be a custom officer. See you can also join Central Industrial security force (CISF) as they generally due duties on the Airport. You have to go for exams conducted by UPSC Hope it will help Cheers...!!! |

As far as Eligibility criteria to become a customs officer is concern the first and the foremost thing that you will need is to get a graduation if you have not got one. Then you will require completing the competitive exam of UPSC www.upsc.gov.in.Your age for becoming a custom¡¯s officer should be less than 28, relaxation for SC ST, ND etc. The preffered subjects for the customs officers are: accounting/ finance, Business with languages or legal studies. You could choose a subject from one of these for graduation, if you are not a graduate as yet you can write The Combined Graduate Level Examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission the detail syllabous is given below The Written Examination will consistof the following papers: Paper I (Objective) It will consist of i. Reasoning Ability (Bilingual) ii. General Knowledge and Current Affairs (Bilingual) iii. Numerical Ability (Bilingual) iv. English Language with special emphasis on grammar and vocabulary. Paper II (Descriptive) It will consist of i. Test on Essay (can be written in Hindi or English) ii. Precise and Comprehension in English 5. Syllabus a. Test of Reasoning Ability: This test has been designed to judge you¡¯re thinking power, contains questions of various kinds. The test will be partly verbal, i.e., based on or related to words and partly non-verbal, i.e., based on or related to figures and drawings. b. Test of Numerical Ability: The purpose of this test is to ascertain how quick you are in working at numerical calculations. c. General Knowledge and Current Affairs: The purpose of this test is to ascertain a candidate¡¯s general awareness of environment around him and its application to society. The questions will be designed to test the candidate¡¯s knowledge of the current events and of such matters of everyday observation andexperience as may be expected of an educated person, including topics on Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, etc. There may also be questions on Geography of India, land and her people, History of India, her cultural heritage, freedom struggle and salient features of the Constitution of India, Economic and Social Problems. d. English Language: The purpose of this test is to gauge your knowledge of English. Your ability will also be tested through your choice of words, expressions and similar skills |

In order to become a Customs Officer at airport the candidates needs to do the following: The exam is conducted by UPSC so you need to apply online as soon as the notification gets released for the posts in Airports. The candidate needs to pass graduation from a recognized university in India. The percentage should be above 55% throughout the academics. The age limit is 19 years to 25 years. hey i just given my 12 exams n just to inquire as job of a custom fort officer which exams should i conduct through(mpsc or upsc) or there is a different exams for this job or is it like this after my graduations i should conduct a custom fort officer exam...
