I am 20 years old and SC candidate, can i join the indian navy through upsc?

Yes you can join in indian army in navy wings.The eligible criteria is that you need to have minimum of 12th standard pass certificate and have studied maths and physics.It is a exam conducted by UPSC.Its good that you want to serve the country.

Yes you are eligible for the Indian Navy at the age of 20. As you have not mentioned your qualification here but I have given below the various entry scheme at age of 20 with different education qualifications.

FOR 10+2 CANDIDATES

You can join as a sailor in Indian navy through the following entry scheme.

1.Type Of Entry: ARTIFICER APPRENTICE

Eligibility Criteria For AA Entry:--

Age limit:
Candidate having age between 17-20 years are eligible for th AA entry scheme.

Minimum Qualification:
The minimum education qualification required for this entry is 10+2 with Physics & Maths.

Type Of Commission:
This entry is Non Commission.

Type Of Entry: SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUIT

Eligibility Criteria For SSR Entry:--

AGE LIMIT
Candidates having age between 17 to 21 years are eligible for this entry scheme.

Minimum Qualification:
The minimum education qualification required for this entry is 10+2 with Physics & Maths.

Type Of Commission:
This entry is Non Commission.

FOR GRADUATES:
Graduates having age of 20 years can apply through following entry scheme for Indian Navy.

For graduate candidates the same entry scheme is required but the additional qualification is required that you should have at least 55% marks at graduation.

• Unmarried male Indian citizens only eligible to

Hi,

Indian Navy can be joined through UPSC.
UPSC conduct an exam called NDA, it conducts twice every year in the month of April and August for the entry to army, navy and air force.
To join navy, you need to be a science stream in your 10+2 to write this exam.

At the age of 20th you can join Indian Navy after passing graduation with any stream...

After graduation you have to qualify the C.D.S entrance exam..
C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year..

The age limit for C.D.S exam is 19-24 year..

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

It depends on the post what you want to join for. Well, In Indian Navy, according to the post you applied for eligibility criteria is different.

A. In order to become an Engineer or Executive in Naval Architechture:

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Candidate must have Maths and Physics as subjects in 10+2 and passes this with minimum 55% marks.

2. Age limit should be between 16.5-19 years

3. Only male candidates can apply.

B. In order to become an Artificier Apprentice:

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Candidate must have Maths and Physics as subjects in 10+2 and passes this with minimum 55% marks.

2. Age limit should be between 17-20 years

C. For Senior Secondary recruit:

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Candidate must have Maths and Physics as subjects in 10+2 and passes this with minimum 55% marks.

2. Age limit should be between 17-21 years
