I have done my graduation in English from Lalit Narayan Mithila University with 60% in the year . I want to pursue MA in English (Full Time) from UGC recognized University. What is the eligibility criteria for MA in English? Can I get admission in JNU?

The minimum crieteria for MA(English)-Full time depends upon university.
It varies from 45 to 60% in various universities

The minimum criteria in JNU is Bachelor's degree in the 10+2+3 pattern of education
with a minimum of 50% marks.

So, you can get admission in JNU.
The notification for admission is published generally in the month of Feb-March every year.

It totally depends on the university you are going to join .Generally it varies from 45% to 60% , if you have scored more than 60% you can get the topmost universities .

For M.A. from JNU the criteria is pas 10+2 with 50% & graduation with 60%

The eligibility criteria is differant from differant universities, the eligibility criteria is depends upon the universities.
But with my knowledge the percentage is all universities is between 40% to 60%, so you are eligible.

Eligibility criteria in JNU:

The candidate should be complete graduation from any recognised university with atleast of 50%marks.

So are eligible for M.A in JNU.

if you want to pursue M.A in English you need to have English as a subject in your graduation.theN only you will be able to pursue M.A.MOST OF THE INSTITUTIONS TAKE ADMISSIONS ON MERIT basis,there is no such entrance exam but the admissions are given on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by you in your graduation in that particular subject in which you want to pursue M.A.the eligibility criteria is a graduation degree with english and 55% marks as aggregate in B.A. In some colleges the selection is purely merit based while in other there is an entrance test of which eligibility is 55%. Also some good colleges offering MA english are DU, AMU, Xavier college etc.

>> Candidate should have secured at least 55% marks in graduation .
