i wanted to confirm is Gate and PSU interrelated? The companies under PSU consider gate score and give jobs according to it and then there is no need for giving their entrance test?

Yes, GATE and PSU are interrelated.

GATE stands Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

In last 4-5 years, almost all Public Sector Undertakings has started short listing candidates on the basis of GATE scorecard.

All candidates who have rank below 500 have good opportunity of getting jobs in Public Sector Undertakings.

However there are certain Public Sector Undertakings which still conduct its own entrance exam:

~~NPCIL

~~Airport Authority of India.

Yes some of the psu are interelated to gate examinations. Ie you need not to give seperate exams for their job opening however not all psu following this pattern.

You are required to fill the online application of the psu related to job seoerately when gate admit card appear to download.

2.You need to qualify in the gate exams to get shortlisted for the gd/pi.
3.Each psu will have their own shortlisting and own gd/pi sessiin
