i m a girl...i dnt know if girls r required 4 any good post in merchant navy....if yes than cn i knoe the qualifictins nd ofcourse the salary

Yes, girls can join merchant Navy as an Officer.

You need to be an Indian, have a Graduate Degree and you age should between 21-30 years.

You need to appear for CDS(Combined Graduate Level) Entrance Examination and need to clear it.

Then you have appear for SSB(Service Selection Board) and if you clear SSB, then you are eligible to join Navy as an Officer.

Your starting salary as an Officer is approx. 1,25,000/- per month including everything.

Female candidates are encouraged to join Merchant Navy.

Candidates can join after completing their graduation or +2 in Science or Maths stream
from a recognized college or school.

Candidates want to be an Indian citizen, both Physically and Mentally want to be good.

Candidate should possess the required percentage of marks.

Female candidate must be unmarried at the time doing the course.

Required Age limit is 21 to 29.

Educational qualifications required for Merchant Navy are mentioned below:-

1. Completion of 12th standard with PCM(Physics, Chemistry and Maths) with 60% marks from any recognized board.

2. Marks relaxation:- 5% marks relaxed for OBC, SC/ST candidates.

3. Nationality:- Indian.

4. Marital status:- Unmarried.

5. Age limit:- Not more than 20 years.
