Hello Friend,

Good quality Software Engineer must keep some things in mind like Exception Handling, and the Project must be simple and fulfill all the requirement of the consumer and must have some additional features.

A Good Quality Software Engineer have to make a project in a language which you will know better.

And you should follow one proper approach like waterfall model or Spiral Model.

Becoming a good software engineer is not easy you have to work hard for that.I don't know what are you doing and and what's your education status but it is necessary to do any degree in computer science as B.tech in computer science, BCA+MCA, BSC IT, MSC IT etc.It is necessary to deeply learn languages like c, c++,java, dot net etc and also to do hardly practice like try to make different different little program.You just compare your real life activities that what type of information is necessary in hotels, restaurants, construction company, media etc. and how we manage this all by making a one program. So be creative you have run your mind every time how to this and how to do that.If you are a biggner than first concerntrate on to learn languages by your faculties and also by your self study like to read good books related to the particular subject becuase there is no faculty or a teacher who can make u understand fully they can give a base only and you have to climb on that base so if you will depend only on that particular faculty you can't.So do hard and get soft.!!!!

You can be a good software engineer by practicing more and more.
Start with C language and command over it then go for data structure that will built your basic very strong.
Then Choose one of the language among Java,.Net, PHP, Python
Along with these also prepare database like SQL, DBMS .
At last took project training.
Then do projects.

for being a good software engineer first of all you must be updated with technology. so read technology based magazine,newspapers and articles. secondly read software development books. and be excellent in at least 5 or 6 languages. and experiance will teach you further.

Programming is a field which you can expertise only by experience. If you are still studying then you need to thorough in the subjects. You could join some training institute to gain exposure. All you need to do is stay focused.

Must have good knowledge and creativity thinking about softwares..and also u completed ur software engineering course in iit ,bits,etc...and also u must have experince in it companies about 10years to became good software engineer.........

To be a good software engineer first you have to select the profile means DBA or Programmer etc. Next select the language you want to work with. Such as if you wanna be DBA then select oracle or sqlserver. If you wanna be coder then java, or asp.net. After that take some self study and practice the practical. Think some new idea and try to make them. Solve the errors in your self.And must be stay focused. Congrats you become a good software engineer.

hello sir/mam , i am doing my 3rd yr B.Tech I.T . And i studied maths biology in my 12th std. so i think its too dificult for me to understand all the computer related topics.But unfortunately my life will be the full of computer related.but i have too eager to study the computer.i belonged to middle class family so i am unable to do any courses privately.my aim is to get placement in big companies and also become the best software engineer.so pls guide and help me to attain my ambition.

If you want to be a good software engineer than choose any perticular field which gives can help you for your future.The first step is do work on C language.Its a basic language and after that you can also choose c++ language.These are the basic languages which is very essential for a good software programmer.
After that you can choose java or .Net language for your future preference.Both languages having so much scope in future.
Do regular practice on programming language.It will very benificial for you and also helps you to be a good software engineer.
