Graduates in any subject can apply for IPS. UPSC conducts a preliminary and mains exam for selecting candidates. Physical efficiency test is conducted for candidates selected for IPS post. Applications for Civil services 2013 can be submitted till April 4. If you are in the final year you can apply for this test. It is advisable to prepare well for at least 1 year before taking the exam.

eligibility criteria: Educational qualifications : You must have a graduation from any background. Being a B.Com student you can certainly write the IPS exams. Age limits: Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years. Upper age limits : For SC/ST : 21 to 35 Years For OBC : 21 to 33 years Number of attempts : General candidates : Four attempts Scheduled Caste(SC) and Scheduled Tribe(ST) : No restriction !! Other Backward Classes(OBC): Seven attempts Exam pattern : In order to crack IPS, you need to get over the 3 stages. They are : Prelims Mains and Personal Interview Good luck.............. |

IPS(Indian Police Service) exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) one time in a year. Eligibility details:- Applicant must have to complete Bachelor's degree from a recognised university. The one who are persuing final year are also eligible for IPS exam. There is no percentage requirements for this exam. Applicant should be a citizen of India. Age criteria:- The age limits for IPS exam are 21 years to 30 years, 3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates, 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
