Hii,

I am Anand Sonkamble (Cast : Buddhist), I'm 22 years old, and 164 cm tall.

I want become an IPS officer, please advice what should I do for that.

To become an IPS Officer, you have to give the UPSC CIVIL SERVICES EXAMS.

This exam is conducted once each year

This exam is held in three stages;
>> CSAT Or Prelims
>> Mains
>> Interview

This exam is held to fill posts in 24 government departments and this include IPS, IAS, IFS etc

Next UPSC Prelims Exams will be held on 19th MAY 2013
Notifications for this exam will come out on 2nd February 2013


ELIGIBILTY TO SIT IN THIS EXAMS:
Educational Qualifications= > Graduation pass in any Stream

AGE- Minimum 21 years
Maximum 30 years
Candidates belonging to OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

Graduation is the minimum educational qualification required for the position of IPS Officer. But you must have certain physical standards also. Minimum height required is 165 cms for general/OBC/SC category candidates. In case of ST, the minumum height required is 160 cms. Detailed information on eligibility is available in UPSC portal. You can apply for IPS profile, after collecting such details.
