hey I am sharda. I want to become an I.A.S office
can a person can become an I.A.S officer after completing their study in commerce field?

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services .IAS exam is conducted by UPSC every year .This Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

Educational Qualification :-

Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognized university , the final year students also eligible for applying preliminary examination .

There is not required any specific marks criteria for IAS exam .

Age criteria :-

Your age should be in between 21 years to 30 years for general candidates .Age relaxation is given below -

5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates
3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates
10 years relaxation for PHC candidates
5 years relaxation for Ex-serviceman

Attempt Limit:-

General Candidate can maximum 4 Times
OBC Candidate can Maximum 7 Times
SC/ST there is no attempt Limit

Pattern for Preliminary Exam:-

(Paper 1) (200 marks) - Duration : Two hrs.

Current events of national and international importance
History of India and Indian national movement
Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world
Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc.
Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.
General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that donot require subject specialization
General science.

(Paper II) (200 marks) – Duration : Two hrs


Comprehension
Interpersonal skills including communication skills
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Decision making and problem solving
General mental ability
Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level)
English language comprehension skills (Class X level)
Questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills of Class X level (last item in the Syllabus of Paper-II) will be tested through passages from English language only without providing Hindi translation thereof in the question paper.

Dear Aspirant,



$$ IAS stands for the Indian Administrative Service. Exam is being conducted by Union Public Service Commission under the Civil Service Examination every year.......

$$ This exam is conducted for the various post across India like IAS, IPS, IES, IFS etc.....

$$ Exam has a two stages: 1). Preliminary exam and 2). Main Exam.....

$$ If you are wish to become an IAS Officer then you must have to Qualify in both the stages as listed above.....

$$ A candidate who have completed their Bachelor Degree from any Background can apply for this exam.....

$$ The Question two be asked in the Exam is related to Current Affair, General English, General Knowledge, History, Economics, General Science etc.....

$$ For the Preliminary exam a candidate have to choose one Optional Subjects while for the Main Exam they have to choose two optional subjects.....


Eligibility and Criteria:-



## At least Bachelor Degree in any Discipline.

## Final year Candidate may also applicable.

## Age of candidate should be between 21 to 30 years.

## Relaxation for OBC provided that is it should be 21 to 33 years.

## For SC/ST it should be between 21 to 35 years.

## For PH/PWD it is up to 21 to 40 Applicable.

## A candidate must have Nationality of India.


Attempt Limit:-
  • General Category - max. 4 times.
  • OBC category - max. 7 mTimes.
  • SC/ST - No attempt limit.
