After 12th or after graduation you can join Indian Navy.As you are a diploma graduate then you are also very much eligible for Indian Navy.See you have to take information from different newspapers and websites when the vacancies of Navy will come and according to this you can apply.
You can also apply for NDA. There generally two examination are held for NDA, one is NDA-1 and another is NDA-2.You can also attempt both this two exam.

Definitely, you can apply for Indian Navy, While studying in Class 12th.

~To join Indian Navy, You have to appear in National Defence Academy(NDA)Examination organized twice in a year by Union Public Service Commission of India, in short known as UPSC.

~So you can appear in NDA exam 2- times through the year known as NDA I & NDA II.

~Well you can also join Indian army & Air force through NDA exam.

~To join Indian India Navy through NDA exam,you should have completed 12th with Physics, Chemistry & Maths subjects.

~There is no restriction on minimum percentage of marks in 12th

~For NDA exam, your Age should be between 16.5 to 19 years & You should have Indian citizenship.

• Notification Announced : 31/12/2011

The Eligibility Criteria:

** There is no any percentage restriction in 12th class.

** The age limit in between 16.5 to 19 years. There is no an upper age criteria.

Date of Notification: 31-12-2011

Last Date of Receipt of Form: 30-01-2012(Monday)

Date of Exam: 15-04-2012(Sunday).

Date of notification: 05-05-2012

Last Date of receipt of form: 04-06-2012(Monday)

You can join Indian Navy after 12th through NDA.

NDA - NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC two times every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Central/State Board within the age group of 16.5 to 19 years with good physical fitness.

As you are interested to join Indian Navy of NDA you should have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects in 12th in order to be eligible for Indian navy.

The notification and regiistration process for NDA-I 2012 exam has already been over, the exam will be held on 15.04.2012. So if you are interested you can apply for NDA-II 2012 exam, the notification will come out in the month of May 2012 followed by exam during August 2012.

If you wants to go in the ARMY SECTOR then you should take science streams with maths in 11th std.
If you are from ARTS stream then you are not eligible for the NDA entrance exams and hence not eligible to join "ARMY"

The subjects which are required for the NDA entrance exams are-->>
PHYSICS,CHEMISTRY AND MATHS.
and in the ARTS streams there is no such subjects.Hence science stream is very necessary for NDA

Only then aftre you can go for the NDA entrance exams conducted for the 12th std students.
