How can I join Indian Army if I have completed graduation in Psychology?


How can i go in Indian Army through psychology?i have heard that CDS written is exempt for students who have done their masters in psychology,is it true?also tell me about women entries in army after graduation or post graduation in NON TECHNICAL.

No, you are eligible to appear for CDS examination conducted by UPSC. CDS stands for Combined Defence Service.

The examination is conducted in two stages as Written and Interview and it is necessary to qualify in both stages for final selection. The eligibility to appear for examination for recruitment in Indian Army is :-

Candidate must have passed graduation from any recognised university.

Candidate's age must be between 19-24 years.

Only unmarried candidates are eligible to appear for examination.

So, you are eligible to appear for examination, if you have all the above qualification to appear for examination. For more information about examination visit at http://www.upsc.gov.in.

No, there is nothing that candidates passed master degree are not eligible to appear for CDS examination.

The eligibility to appear for CDS examination is candidate must have passed graduation degree from any recognised university.

The age limit to appear for examination vary for different wings and even the discipline of graduation is also different.

So, you can appear for examination. For more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in.

CDS examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates in Indian Army, Navy, Air Force and OTA.

The eligibility to appear for examination is :-

* Air Force and Navy - Graduation in Physics or Mathematics or having B.tech/B.E degree. Age limit is 19-23 years and 19-22 years respectively.

* Indian Army and OTA - Graduation in any discipline and age must be between 19-24 years and 19-25 years.

So, you are eligible to appear for examination for recruitment in Indian Army. For more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in.

# Best way to join Indian Army after graduation is to appear in Combined Defence Service (CDS) Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission two times in a year.

# Required eligibility conditions for Combined Defence Service (CDS) Examination:

* Must be Indian national.
* Must be unmarried.
* Must be Male for Indian Navy and Indian Air Force.
* Females candidates are eligible for joining Indian Army through Officer
Training Academy (OTA)
* Must possess any bachelor degree from any recognized university.
* Candidate in the final year are also eligible.
* Must be physically, medically and physiologically fit.
* Must have vision of 6/6 (for good eye) and 6/9 (for bad eye).
* Must not have any bodily defect or abnormality.
* Must bear the moral character.

# Prescribed age limit for Combined Defence Service (CDS) Examination:

* 19-22 years for Naval Academy (NA)
* 19-23 years for Air Force Academy (AFA)
* 19-24 years for Indian Military Academy (IMA).
* 19-25 years for Officer Training Academy (OTA)

# Pattern of Combined Defence Service (CDS) Examination:

* Objective Type Written Test
* SSB Interview
* Physical & Medical Test

# It is pertinent to mention here that those candidates who have NCC ‘C’ Certificate are exempted from first stage of recruitment process i.e. Objective Type Written Test. Such candidates are directly invited for SSB Interview without undergoing through Objective Type Written Test.

You can apply for CDS exam for the OTA if you are a non technical graduate. Age should be between 19 to 25 years if you want to join this academy. Selection is based in written exam and SSB interview.

There is NCC women special entry scheme also but you need NCC qualification with C certificate. Selection is based on performance in SSB interview.
