how many students are gettin placed through IES every year??..please tell

IES is the Indian Engineering Services which are conducted by the UPSC every year and abut 2000 candidates are going to be shortlisted and the number of candidates will be short listed according to the available vacancies every year,depending on the performance and available vacancies candidates will be short listed for the IES recruitment.

IES examination will be conducted every year for the candidates who have competed the engineering course of study in the Mechanical engineering,Electrical engineering,electronics and tele communication engineering,and Civil engineering,these are the branches of study for which the IES examination is eligible for.

The list of candidates or number of candidates will be short listed according to the available vacancies in the IES and engineering services every year.
