how many time i can attempt IES EXAM (OBC category)

Attempts allowed for IES for general candidates is 4 times.

for OBC it is 7 times.

for SC/ST it is 9 times.

you can attempt any number of time between the age of 21-30 years.

you have no such restriction for applying in IES exams as you are in sc/st class so you are having this privellige but if you are under OBC category them no of atempts that you can make is only 7 wish you luck and all the very best for the exams hope you qualify it in the very 1st attempt. for more details do write to me. bye take care

if your age is between 21 to 30 years then you may pply manny times as you wish, i think there are no provision for attempt exams 2 or 3 time, you may apply manny times as you wish.

i apply for ies exam , my hall ticket received at home town, two weeks back my mom send that to my new addres by speed post i not received that hall ticket yet .. i try a lot but i think it miss some ware .. can any one tell is any other way to get duplicate hall ticket ?

as you are a obc candidates so you can appear for IES exam 7 times.

for general candidates maximum attempts is four.An obc candidates write IES exam upto his 33 years of age.after 33 years of age he can't give exam of IES in spite of he has spare attempts.

you can apply for the exam for any number of times till you are below the upper age limit

Age Limit for IES
21-30 years as on 1.8.2010 i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1980 and not later than 1st August, 1989

in case of the OBC candidates there is a relaxation of 3year in upper age.

You wont be able to take the benefits which are provided to candidate belonging to OBC category.You will be treated as candidate belonging to general category.Apart from that i think so no other problem will be there.

Are need to submit obc cirtificate in ies online application

UPSC- Union Public Service Commission has just recently brought out of the IES exam 2011 notification.

Number of attempts that one can attempt for this exam are
For general category - maximum of 4 time
For OBC - maximum of 7 times
For SC / St - no limit.

IES exam consists of a total of 1200 marks selection process, which consists of a written test of 1000 marks and a 200 marks interview for those who are short listed.

So, as you belong to the category of OBC, you can appear for a maximum of 7 times for this exam.
